I'm so happy someone wrote a manifesto for NaoexKagetora/Takaya (OTP) :D I love the way you explain their relationship..it's really not an easy thing to do. X]

♥ thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you for reading! :) Yes, theirs is a very complicated relationship indeed...

Fantastic 8D As the only BL anime series I can genuinely say to love, I'd say you did a pretty good job on covering this rather epic and complicated pairing. Kudos to you!

Thank you! I think Mirage of Blaze has an entirely different feel to it than even other BL or yaoi animes - very adult and serious (though with moments of understated humor). Thanks for reading!

Lovely. Can I ask what the fandom is like? Is it open to newbies? Who's the favourite character out of the two for fans? Are most of the fics dark, or are there some happy ending fics? I thought I should ask about the fandom before I try to wade in^_^

Interesting. I find often that it's the second lead that we females fall for: e.g., Col. Mustang as opposed to Ed, or Sasuke as opposed to Naruto. Maybe we see ourselves as the lead character - so the second lead is seen through our eyes as if we were relating to him...? (Or perhaps I'm reading too much into this!) :)

Ah, good. I was afraid it was one of those fandoms where everyone indulges in too many dark/rape/death fics. Especially since a friend told me how the novels end and I thought how depressing (and perhaps pointless) it all sounded.

I also really like the title of your essay. So appropriate. *grins*

True - it's hard to imagine many things worse than a bad 400-year relationship! :0

That was really neat. I like the way you skimmed over things and did some in-depth text on the characters themselves. Showing the different 'stages' in the anime was also a nice way to divide things out.

It was difficult actually - I had to cut out a lot I had written concerning the plot and just concentrate on the relationship, or this would've been 10,000 words long... Thanks for reading!
