Lights be back on

Man, sometimes I wish I still watched Doctor Who and then, some weeks I am very glad I do not. How do you explain away that?

So, Irene got us here outside Philly, knocking down a tree in our neighborhood and blowing up a transformer. We all heard it around 10:30 Saturday, right after a tornado warning came on the TV. We had been watching Sense and Sensibility with Kate Winslet and Alan Rickman ♥ ♥ ♥, who I am now completely enamored with (already loved Kate Winslet, for she is beyond awesome. You've seen her on Extras, right? XD ) He is my dad's age (older, actually) which makes me feel a teensy bit weird, but hell, Harrison Ford is still pretty awesome, too - seen his intervews? XD XD Plus, handsome, so. And he rides a horse in that movie - a black horse! - and a wonderful hat, and he's adorable - and I should admit I've had some wine to celebrate the return of our power, so there's that - and I love him. So.

I retreated to the basement with my bro, 'cause I be afeared of the tornadoes, due to my early childhood in Ohio, and then listened to that awful wind all night. My sister in Wayne lost her electricity too, so we wound up searching for wi-fi all Sunday. Library and B&N were closed, Starbucks was packed and the bar we went to, The Blarney Stone (had meant to try out their wares) had crummy internet (but a great Bay Breeze). Went to the school finally and took over a meeting room to check the net for word from PECO. Only heard back yesterday morning, saying it would be back Wed 11am D=

We don't have water when our power's out, which means no showers or toilets. We could flush using the water I filled the tub with (filling the tank and such) but with three bathrooms that would only last so long, even using it only when necessary (you know what I mean. Sorry if TMI.)

doctor who, peco
