(APPROPRIATE ICON IS APPROPRIATE. OH, SO MUCH.)
Holycrap my hands are freezing I can't feel them.
I went outside for like half an hour and got ONE GOOD PICTURE.
LET ME SHOW YOU IT.
This is what my friend shopped on it, seconds after I posted my pic:
I also have epic pics of the moon 'un-eclipsing' as the red part of it goes down the moon, as it were.
To clarify: I have this decent camera, it's not anything special, and I set it to the setting for like, shooting stars, so it keeps the shutter open for 15 seconds to get the shooting stars all in one shot, k?
Except my hands are shaking bad although it settles a bit once I can't feel/move my fingers anymore, so I go to my neighbor's wooden fence thing and prop the camera up and try to shoot although that whole set winds up cool yet blurry; it looks like if you try to quickly shoot/film a moving glowstick or something. You get the motion and there's like multiple moons.
So then I grabbed some twiggy branch things from a bush and pushed them up against the back of the fence and let my camera rest on them and three shots more -- all with me crouched down holding perfectly still, and I got that one. <33333333333333
I'm allowed to pat myself on the back now and crawl wearily into bed again, right?
PS: Not only did I not go to bed at 3:30 AM after getting this picture, I stayed up until 5AM getting shots of the moon in its various post-eclipse phases. (Which I'll post links to later if there's any interest.)
BED FOR ME KTHX.
