Sweeney Todd

I saw Sweeney Todd a couple weeks ago - before it was released, actually, thanks to an invite from Lise and Ember to a screening - and at the time, well, I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't have said that I loved it.

But for the last week and a half, I just haven't been able to get the songs out of my head. I downloaded the soundtrack onto my computer and my new MP3 player, and I've just been listening to it constantly. I'm talking two to three times a day. It's ridiculous. I haven't had this kind of fetish for a musical since Once More With Feeling.

In other (old) news, I realized something I missed out on my New Years report. A couple of weeks ago my glasses fell/were knock off my bedstand overnight and when I woke I stepped right onto them, shattering the corner of the right lense. At first, of course, I was pissed beyond the telling of it, but since then I've felt nothing but liberated. I never really liked my glasses. Sure, it was nice not to have eye strain or headaches and to be able to read things at a distance, but they made me really self-conscious. So unless I find I'm desperate for them in school, I'm going to put off getting another pair until my medical will contribute to them again, about a year from now.

In the meantime, I may get the occasional headache, but at least I'll be free. Just call me Squinty McGee.

On second though, don't. I'll have to kill you.
