She wasn't allowed to run here, and it was a total drag. Jai certainly didn't have this problem, Iris thought as she made her way through the crowd of teens her own age. The party wasn't for her brother, and he couldn't join the Teen Titans with her, Robin, and Dart, so he made more friends at school.
Way more friends than Iris made at school. Sure, she was social, but she was different, and everyone seemed to pick up on it. Jai didn't have that problem anymore, and he was actually pretty popular at their school, to Iris's amazement.
She was almost jealous of her brother until Titans weekends came up then it all flitted away with training and fighting supervillains. At the moment though, Iris just wanted to escape. She couldn't talk to Damian because he was here and actually friends with Jai, even though she had no idea how that happened without Jai being a Titan.
There should be a few other Titans around like Sin and Cerdian, but Lian couldn't make it, or so she was told. Lian was grounded for an arrow that she made that had exploded and taken out a whole wall in the den on the Tower.
"Irey!" a voice exclaimed from behind her once she had gotten away from everyone, and suddenly, even to Iris, she had her arms full of a certain dark haired archer.
"Lian!" Iris exclaimed. "I thought you were grounded?"
Lian smirked a little. "I love daddy, but Grandpa Ollie is the easiest to sneak away from," she replied before hugging her again. "Ugh, I had to weave through the whole party to find you, Iris!"
Iris giggled. "I'm sorry. You should have texted me."
"No way. There's GPS on my phone, and I know Uncle Dick taught daddy how to use it," Lian said grumpily before reaching for Iris's face. "You have a piece of hair that got loose from your headband."
Lian moved to fix it, but Iris's heart was pounding, and she wasn't sure why. A million things went through her head at lightning speed as Lian ever so slowly, to her, tucked the hair back where it belonged. After a moment and so many millions of thoughts, Iris caught Lian's hand and quickly pressed a kiss against her lips.
Lian blinked. "Did you just..." she trailed off, her cheeks flushed.
Iris bit her lip. "Yah-huh," she said quickly, trying not to say it so fast Lian won't understand her.
"Oh," Lian said quietly then smiled. "I think I liked it, but I'd have to do it again...just to be sure."
Iris's eyes widened at that before she grinned and pulled Lian into another kiss.
