vocallight. This amusing since her fic was inspired by a fic
bradygirl_12 wrote. Inspiration trickles down the line~! ^-^;; Well, Dick didn't know how to fix this problem, but he knew where he and his brothers could sleep for the night. Roy wouldn't mind...probably.

“This all your fault!”
“My fault? I didn't do anything! I was like this before you guys-”
“Shut up!” Tim chirped then had two sets of bright blue eyes glaring at him. “Screeching at each other isn't going to help anyone!”
Jason and Dick looked at each other for a moment before Jason started laughing. “If I thought you sounded ridiculous before, baby bird, the universe has just corrected me!” he said between twittering laughs.
Tim glared, but being smaller and the fact that he now actually resembled that nickname, it had no sway. “Tim, don't worry. He's just an idiot,” Dick soothed before putting his wing around Tim's small body. “We'll figure something out.”
Jason rolled his eyes before flying into the air. “If you two are going to be sappy, this Robin is going to find a tree to nest in,” he chirped, unhappy how his voice sounded as a bird.
“Jason, wait!” Dick shouted as he flew after Jason, Tim following close behind as not to get left behind. “I have somewhere we can go for the night.”
“Where?” Jason and Tim asked in unison then glared at each other.
“Just follow me, okay?” Dick offered as he took off, expecting them to follow.
Tim followed obediently, and Jason ruffled his feathers unhappily as he followed as well.

Okay, Roy really wanted to know when little birds started to multiply without a girl bird or any eggs, because there were definitely three birds fighting over the shoebox nest in his bedroom. “I'm going insane,” he muttered to himself, and all three birds stopped fighting and looked up at him with bright blue eyes. “Definitely insane. And I thought you were unique.”
All three birds had the same coloring, red, yellow, and green, but the feathers on their head were different. The first one had not a feather out of place, while the smallest one's feathers on its head were spiked up like it was hair. The other bird was slightly bigger than the first and definitely towered over the second with to curls of feathers above its eyes like bangs. Roy just shook his head, turning to leave as the first bird landed on his shoulder, chirping at him.
“You're not crazy, Roy,” Dick chirped nuzzling Roy's cheek while Jason squawked a snort.
Roy pet Dick's feathers a bit before glancing back at the other two birds. “Is that your family?” he asked, like the bird could answer him.
Dick's eyes lit up, nodding vigorously. “Yes!” Dick chirruped while Jason flew up, wings flapping angrily.
“We are not family,” Jason growled, but it came out as an angry squeak.
Tim decided not to get between his brothers this time and made himself comfortable in the floral print that filled the shoebox. It may have been almost too small for Dick, but it was definitely roomy for Tim.
“Oh yeah, definitely family,” Roy said with a grin as the angry bird glared at him. “I bet you're brothers even.”
“Unfortunately,” Tim answered from his comfortable nest as Dick wished he could grin, but just settled for another nod before swooping up then down to tackle Jason which landed them on top of Tim in the nest. “Hey! This nest was not built for all of us. Fight somewhere else!”
“Daddy, daddy, when did we get two more birdies?” Lian asked when she tumbled into Roy's room looking for her daddy. “Oh no, the baby birdie's gonna get squished!”
Roy groaned messaging his temples, knowing his daughter would want to keep all three birds now. “Lian, be careful. The big one looks like he might bite,” Roy warned as Lian scooped up the baby bird.
“I wouldn't hurt her!” Jason complained as Tim squawked indignantly when Lian petted his feathers. “Hmph. Figures you and Timmy get all the attention.”
“You whine a lot,” Tim chirped as he let Lian pet him.
Jason ruffled his feathers at that comment when Dick chirped a laugh. “Little wing, Tim's right,” Dick sing-songed as he dodged a flying tackle from Jason.
Roy watched the birds' antic as Lian giggled before gently putting Tim back before snatching Jason from the air. Jason squawked unhappily before Lian pet his feathers back gently. “It's not nice to beat up on birdies smaller and weaker than you,” she said as Jason stopped struggling in her grasp.
“Hear that, smaller AND weaker than me,” Jason chirruped as he made himself comfortable in Lian's hands.
Dick snorted, but didn't make any comments as he flew back up to perch on Roy's shoulder as Tim got comfortable again in Dick's nest. “Hey, Roy, I'm gonna need a new nest,” Dick whined into Roy's ear, flapping his wings.
Roy glanced at the bird on his shoulder and sighed. He was going to need two more shoeboxes and a lot more hand towels.
