Stupid transcripts

Jul 18, 2008 07:57

Believe it or not I have acquired all of my papers (except for my transcripts) and I just need to notarize a few things here and there.

Footprints is looking at sending me to a place called Cehonan-si. Here's the wiki article --->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheonan

I haven't decided if I'm going to go. They don't have an apartment so I'll have to search for one and then I get a stipend. AND I have to pay for my ticket to get there, but not to get home. What does this tell me? It's either a really good school (really great schools don't offer a lot because they don't have to...they have floods of people applying). Or it's a good school that's just poor. Yea, I'm trying to avoid the idea of a "bad school" so I won't talk about it.

I've finally been assigned to a placement coordinator and her name is Jennifer. I get this feeling that she's a bit new just because I can't find her anywhere on the website. It's not like I really have to be careful of the schools I pick because Footprints weeds them out but I need to be on top of my game so neither of us forgot stuff. Basically, I need to ask a shit ton of questions.

Everyone seems to be really supportive, which is exactly what I need. I know it sounds crazy and I know this is out of left field but I've been talking about going overseas for years now. Remember when I thought about going into the Air Force? Well this is just like that...except I'm not affiliated with the war, the stupidity of D.C., and I don't have to report to a cranky Sgt. Major.

My contract is a year, just because that's how long my visa is...I can only stay a year and then I need to renew it. There is a HUGE possibility of liking this program and in my second year....moving to Japan...in my third year, maybe Costa Rica ^__^. If I move to Costa Rica, it's just a hop, skip, and jump away from Trinidad for my mom's 50th b-day bash.

Anywho, ask questions if you like and I'll try to answer.

abroad, work, update
