....this having money thing is actually pretty nice. Like yeah, I don't have that much. But I have wayyy more than I had this entire school year. And I feel like it's actually going to last me. Halfway through summer I've saved up a decent amount, PLUS I keep having money handed to me by various people (i guess it's sort of nice when people forget your birthday for 3 months, though I COULD'VE used this in April, people lol) and of course stencil cutting for Aunt Lynnie is still a lucrative pasttime. And then my grandparents like to hand me $50 every time they leave. So more for the bank! :) Seeing as I've spent my money on most of the things I wanted (Victoria's Secret bathing suits - got a fuckin' amazing deal, actual riding boots - over 50% off, thank you ebay!) and I figure if I keep saving till before school starts, maybe my mom will take me shopping if I offer to go halfsies with her. I have my football tickets paid for, so I don't have to worry about scalping for $900000000 above face value. I think as long as I can keep up with working a lot, putting most of it away, and letting myself have small indulgences every so often, I'll be pretty set and good for a while. Maybe I'll even manage to get a job at school, it'd help keep me in money and maybe also help keep my lazy ass on its toes. (I'm a lot more punctual and responsible about work than I've ever been with classes. Maybe if classes started paying me.) So I'm by no means financially stable or anything, and there's definitely no huge purchases or independent rent paying in my future just yet, but I'm getting there, as long as I can keep this up. :)
