1. Tabu by Elanor :
Harry unwittingly accepts a job in a sex shop.

Yes, I'm a pervert. But I am also a sucker for clueless!Harry. And Harry truly is clueless in this fic -- It's hilarious! It's really lighthearted and comical, and creative! The polyjuice bit especially. Got a thing for Tom Cruise? Hell, people can get a strand of his hair, and you and your significant other can have a little fun. Not that I want to fuck Tom Cruise, he was the first man that came into my head. Anyway.

What also makes this story great is the original character, Candice. She's brilliant, and she's pretty much the catalyst to the best scene in the story. WE KNOW who the mysterious non-descript man who has a thing for Harry is. It's just fucking funny that Harry doesn't.

2. Snape: The Home Fries Nazi by Pir8fancier :
When Harry defeats Voldemort, the Death Eaters lose their magic. Snape decamps to the United States, where he becomes a fry cook in a diner. Seven years after Voldemort's defeat, Harry comes to him for advice.

It's AU. I never really read AUs, but this one. I don't know. It was so completely DIFFERENT. Snape? A frycook? A BALD FRYCOOK? And yet he was so in character, the idea was soon believable. And what also made this story? Again, original characters. I LOVED THEM. What a great, entertaining story. Oh, and it was hot, as well. ;]

3. The Cinnabar Sling, a story from Not Groom Lake by Dingochow :
ravenna_c_tan wanted a story with a mature, confident Harry, angst along the road to a happy ending, intensity in the smut, and Snape's POV. She also thinks AUs are fun!(so do I …)

AHHH! The nickname Spider, the concept that WAS Spider was so funny, amusing, brilliant. Another AU, by the way, and ugh, I COULD NOT GET ENOUGH OF IT. It was so hot, and just the perfect amount of angst that had me clawing at the screen. No, Spider, noooo! This story was also fucking funny. I mean. Not Groom Lake. What a great location. And it was AU, but everything connected. I've nothing to say except that it was hot, and a pleasant read. So much so that I must rec and store the link so I can read it again in the future.

4. Exegesis by Femmequixotic :
Every culture has their tales regarding creatures of the night.

The intricate plot is magnificent. It weaved beautifully, it was well thought out. I loved it. And the final battle was so intense, I had to admit, I was afraid. Oh, and again, the parallels between canon and the AU was PERFECT. Dumbledore himself was bit, so SNAPE had to kill him, etc. etc. Loved it. Loved it. Cannot describe. It was just... wonderful.
