Got this from Iamdyingalone (LJ is being a pain).  I still have a hard time believing that people can actually act like this and still be able to go home and sleep at night.  The whole concept of being "homophobic" or hating gay people sickens so much, mainly because I used to be like that.  What makes it even worse is that it took me questioning ( Read more... )

A transvestite came through my line at meijer. I scanned her items and s/he left. I only was sickened by it because while s/he effectively looked like a woman, she looked like an ugly woman. If I can't tell then I don't point out...woman or no woman bad makeup and masculine cheekbones is repulsing in a dress and high heels. oh well, that's my own little prejudice.

Well, when I encounter people like that, who openly use the word 'faggot' or whatnot, I start talking about all those 'chinks and spics that are coming in and taking our jobs' or those 'niggers shooting each other in the inner city.' That usually gets a second look from them. Then it's a matter of explaining. ::Shrug:: people can think what they want, but if they're gonna hold opinions like that they're bound to be ridiculed for them.
