Quebec father asks court to clarify parental rights in grounding case
12-year-old girl got a lawyer after father cancels trip
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2009/01/13/mtl-parental-rights-1301.html What is this country coming to when we allow 12 year old children to take their parents to court for punishing them. This is the reason teachers are afraid to teach. These punks today are empowered and emblazoned with the attituted that they are the most powerful beings in the universe.
I have no idea whatsoever how a judge in good standing in this country could overrule a parent's just punishment of their child. This is complete interference. I would seriously consider review the judge's other cases as this seriously makes me call her integrity into question.
Another point, how on earth could this 12 year old child afford to retain a lawyer to escalate legal action against her father for grounding her.
This HAS to be a joke. If it isn't the justice system in this country has failed the people completely.
