In Which our Hero Catalouges his trip
This is for my memory as much as keeping all you yahoos informed about my exploits, so here it is
Wednesday: Flew into St. Louis, crashed at cousin Tim's. Went to the Botancal gardens for an evening of jazz, then back to Tim's. Ate at the Mizzou equivalent of B&J's.
Thurs: Drove two hours to Columbia, saw my aunt and another cousin's wife. Street fest, went to the coolest Music/Movie/Game store outside of Vermont, ate Indian for dinner, crashed at aunt's.
Fri: Left sis with aunt, dad and I went back to St. Louis to catch a ballgame at the new stadium. Much fun. Hit TD's for more custard on the way back.
Sat: Drove the five hours down to Monett. Hour and a half traffic delay-took a detour. Ate at uncle's house, then dad and I drove to Tulsa (!) to pick up another uncle and his son. Watched LOST on the way back.
Sun: Was allowed to sleep through church because of five in the morning arrival from pickup. Played pingpong, basketball, then went swimming. Got sick, slept it off.
Mon: Bunch of people arrived in Monett, learned how to play settlers of Catan (best board game since Risk), played more pp and bb.
Tues: July Fourth, baby! Uncle Mike was patriotic speaker at green, heard crazy woman give speech on politics and being crazy (ask if you want details), watched fireworks at Uncle Mike's. Cousin Tim and Sean kill my computer and raised it from the dead.
Wed: Drove down to Arkansaw and rented a pair of pontoon boats, one of which I drove (first time driving a boat) and parked with a great deal of success. Became Catan champ.
Thurs: Females migrated to get pedicures, spent evening with my mom's 'American family' who had other guests, got ten words in in three hours, and the talk was all very depressing stuff.
Fri: Uncle Mike got a pedicure (!). Spent the afternoon in Joplin, my sis picked up winter ball and prom dresses for around eighty total. Got a pair of sandals for about the same. Examined grossly overpriced CD store, don't get me started. Ate at a rib joint, not too bad, I think one of the waitresses thought I was allright. Saw cousing Steve's house.
Sat: Watched an auction going on nextdoor to 1104, haven't heard an auctioneer live until now, fun stuff. Said goodbye to everyone, drove back to St. Louis, back at cousin Tim's for one more day. Gonna eat dinner at cousin Pat's. Leaving tommorow. Wanna see yous peoples again. Out!
