Peaceful Weekend...

To say it was off to a rough start, this weekend ended up being pretty good. It all started with meeting one of Kai's potential hypotheticals. Apparently, Kai's thinking about having his own harem in these streets cuz he's leaning towards polyamory and you know what? I immediately thought about a few conversations that Brittney and I had back in the day about relationships and whatnot. Now, we all know that I am a firm believer that love should be in multiples so yeah, I'm supportive of this little venture. Besides, Brittney and I both had that kinda mindset. (I still wonder what kinda life I woulda had were had I ended up at the right address. Just saying)
Anyway, I think the kid's name is Zander (Or Xander… I dunno) All I know is a cute little green haired kid came running up to me because quote: "I've been dying to meet you. You are amazing."
As much as I swear I can't stand children, I was so caught off guard, I hugged that kid 🤣🤣🤣 He said that Kai talks about me all the time and he wanted to see if I were a real person and wanted to see the emotions wall. I pointed at it and he was like: "It's real?!" I liked that kid instantly.
As for the weekend, I planned for us to have a movie night Sunday so I got to work putting things together with food and whatnot since I ended up working over on Saturday. (We can't keep employees to save our lives right now 😭😭😭) I was supposed to go to the store after work, but that didn't pan out so I ordered the food from Walmart instead so that I would be home in time. It all worked out cuz the groceries arrived Sunday morning right after breakfast, while I was cleaning the front room. After informing the kids what our afternoon was about to look like, I got to work setting up nachos, popcorn and little boxes of candy. Basically, I created a little concession stand for us to watch Super Mario Bros and The Little Mermaid. Super Mario was really, really good but I feel like it was more for fans of the franchise. Like, if this was your first Mario outing, your ass was a little lost in the beginning probably. It has so many easter eggs/references tho'! They even referenced the OG cartoon! I was like: "Hey, I used to watch that!"
Next we watch the live action Little Mermaid and um, it wasn't bad, but I've mentioned awhile ago how I feel about the live action trend. It's just not my thing, but the kids wanted to watch it so I gave it a go. Bruh, Prince Eric did not need a storyline. I don't care, I don't care… Fight me. What I will say was tho' she didn't mention "Body language" in her song, Melissa Macarthy's Ursula was the best part of that film! Were Ursula and Triton always siblings and it just went right over my head?
Also, Imma give this movie mad credit for fixing a few plot eras that were in the original. Like how Eric figured out Ariel's name and the biggest hole of all: Instead of having Ariel sign her name, it was a blood pact. People have been complaining for years about how Ariel signed that damn contract, but couldn't handle writing her situation down on a napkin to slide to Eric (It's me. I'm people 🙄🙄🙄)
Okay, so after Eric washes ashore, he sees a blob of Ariel and hears her singing. When Ursula shows up and it's a white woman, Kai was livid! He was like: "There's no way he thought that was her, she's white!" Before that, he was like: "I know one thing, a white woman better not show up." So after the movie, I decided we should test and see if it really was just an honest mistake. Well, Eric gets a pass. You can't tell. We took turns laying down squinting (This included singing and hand holding… and lots of laughing) and the only one who could really see was Kai so Imma say maybe Eric needs a prescription cuz Mo and I wear glasses 😂😂😂
We played UNO 'til it was time for them to go then Mo and I got caught up listening to music and singing at the top of our lungs like we don't have neighbors 🤣🤣🤣
I was biking (Bruh, don't judge me. We consumed alot of calories. I'm not trying to lose anymore weight but I'm not trying to gain any either. It's all about upkeep from here on out, ya dig?) while we were singing so by the time we were going through Lipsync battle links, I was running on fumes. I swear, I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow!
*sighs* It was so fun
Oh! Before I head out, Max has an upcoming project with more pasties and SA finally finished editing part one to Agents Of Chaos so I'm thinking of including it in my birthday project. Since I hit this goal, the next is to have the 2nd part completely edited and ready for Amazon by the end of the year. I think I can do it. Nah, scratch that. I know we can.
