What's Up Danger...

"At least let me free my hands."
- Me (Talking to Luke. I changed into my coat in front him… In broad daylight)

Soooooooo…
Yesterday was interesting to say it started out with Max prancing around in the park doing a Miles Morales shoot. The shoot came out pretty well to say the sun was so freaking high in the sky. (Speaking of said shoot, Ol' Whatshisface has no idea who Miles Morales is and while I was shooting it, some guy started circling me like a shark. Finally he scraped up the balls to speak to me and I told him I'm in a committed, faithful, loving relationship cuz um… Nope sir. I don't know you. I make everybody work for it. The whole time he was talking, I had my hand on my pepper spray)

As we were doing the shoot, we were also awaiting the arrival of Luke, whom I never swiped on Tinder and yet, that's where we met. We've been talking since like, February 25, and decided it was time to meet. You know what I appreciated? He didn't take my hesitation on the matter as me being a catfish. (Tho', I cannot tell a lie. I thought he was a catfish all the way up until he arrived at the park cuz he doesn't look like he would be real. Even Mo said he looks like one of those AI pics come to life. No, she didn't meet him, but I showed her pics of him for context) Luke is a college student and he's just insanely gorgeous. So gorgeous that I've decided if he's up for it, we should do a shoot together cuz I've never done one with a guy. So far, I only have one thing I'm iffy about with him and I think that's something we can work on over time. We were both nervous at first but as the day went on, we started getting more comfortable. I'm talking while we were in Panera, people watching with commentary comfortable. Then we wandered around Party City talking. After we got to his car, he expressed that he didn't want the date to end so I invited him to watch a movie at my tiny house. First dates don't usually last as long as ours did. Well, mine anyway. We were together from 11ams to 8:30pms and we were still coming up with stuff to do instead of separate. That's only happened with one other person with me. (I'm working on no longer comparing men/women/vegetable/mineral/animals with Caleb. In the long run, it's kinda unfair cuz he set one bar. Yes, I learned a lot from that bar, but I need to give someone else the chance to set their own)
Last note about Luke: He calls me Zara which reminds me of Tristan, who also calls me that. He also has the prettiest curls. *sighs* Oh, and his eyes! Now y'all know I have an eye kink. They're this clear, watery looking bluish green. Trust me when I say you want these looking at you like how he was looking at me all day. All in all, yesterday taught me a valuable lesson about judging books by their covers. I've always known not to do that, but for the first time, I was questioning EVERYTHING. Just looking at Luke confused me. I dunno. I guess I'm just not over what happened ya know, in the past. (My entries line up with this assessment, I assure you) I don't wanna form connections only to be cast aside again. I suppose that's the complicated part about dating, especially as you grow older. Everything is a leap of faith. You don't know the future. You're not supposed to. What you're supposed to do is embrace new experiences in the hopes that someday, what's meant for you will find you.
So, I'm not gonna allow the past to dictate my present cuz I'm ready for the future.
It's a leap of faith. Into The Spiderverse taught me that.
Later

hanging out, max royal, mrpp, dating, pictures, luke
