Went to Comic Con yesterday. It was awesome! I took Zyi with me. The 1st thing I did was dye his hair blue and flat iron it. I counted 9 Harley Quinns... This includes the best one who was no more than 5 and had a bad ass hammer. 12 Deadpools, 8 Batmans, 6 Jokers (Tho' I think Troy had the best make up) and 7 Robins yesterday (This count includes 2 baby robins. A little boy and a little girl... They were too adorkable. Oh, and an older lady robin) Know what I noticed this year? Most of the people were either freakishly older than me or Zyi's age.
I bought this hat which is by far the most amazing thing I have ever purchased. I really, really wanna buy an outfit for it. It has a skeleton sitting on the rim! That thing is to die for! Next year, I totally need to have a budget for Comic Con. Just to buy stuff. It was that awesome!
Okay, while we were there, I ran into Clifford from my job. Clifford was there with his friend Troy who is probably the most amazing anime enthusiast I have ever met. Like, he knew more than I did. Troy is also hot (He showed me a pic of him w/o the make up... He kept handing me his phone... Dude loves his pet lizards more than I love my hair and that's saying something ^_^ ) so spending the day with him and Clifford was pretty freaking awesome. Zyi, Troy and Clifford kept engaging in sword fights which people kept coming outside to watch. At one point, a man came out and videoed him and Clifford. It's probably gonna be on YouTube or some shit. I kept leaving Zyi with them cuz he seemed pretty comfortable with them. Which for Zyi is rather unusual.
Now, the dye I used for Zyi's hair promised no residue and yet, after the sword fights, he started sweating blue. It was dripping from his cheek. I was like: "To say that dye cost as much as it did... Jeez, what a rip off." I saw Teri! She was dressed up as Raven from Teen Titans. As soon as I saw her, I asked her did she see StarFyre. OMC... there was a girl dressed up like the chick from Fifth Element! Her costume was so freaking amazing! I also saw 2 Maleficents which brings me to Michelle that I've known since High School. I loved her costume. I wore my Power Rangers tee shirt and hair bow but I totally wanna dress up next year. I'm leaning towards Go-Go from Big Hero 6 cuz I heart her to death. The comic book version of her is a tadbit darker but either way, she is a bad ass! Teri says she'll help me so yeah, I'm all in.
All in all, I'm glad I went. I love going!
Wait, wait, we saw Kylee, who was dressed up as a Power Ranger from Super MegaForce. I didn't have the heart to point out that Super MegaForce was the travesty that has marred the Rangers' reputation. (I knew Jimmy dressed her up as one since I said I was wearing a Power Rangers tee so I applauded the efforts on my behalf.) Shoulda picked a different season (One that Jason David Frank saved... Ya know, like Dino Thunder)... I took a pic with Kylee, Jamie, Zyi and Mo (Who was there with Elizabeth).
After that, me and Zyi came home. I really wish I had of won the tattoo from Pork Chop's tattoo studio. Speaking of tattoos, there was a guy there with a bad ass Poison Ivy tattoo... dude, that guy... Yes... Me and the two people I was talking to stopped talking to watch him walk by. Like, my jaw literally dropped.
I love Comic Con.
