Ok, out of morbid curiousity, I went to Amazon.com and sought out the book...

Even with the small snippets of material in the "Look Inside" feature, I knew that your parody isn't so far off the mark.

And then... I decided to view the video interview with the author.

So logic and the plot, after having drinks at a bar somewhere outside the book, decided that they were the only ones who would ever understand each other (and thus they had more of a connection than Bella and Edward) and ran off to Vegas to get married. They're quite happy together and are trying to forget about Twilight.

That's what I was afraid of. :( It struck me while reading this that it could so easily be a movie. I'm just sort of amazed they made it look similar to a suspense or horror in that trailer.

I read the wikipedia articles on these books...and I learned a few things.

1. There are some things you can't un-know.
2. It sounds like the first book has the best plot. OH YES! DEAR GOD IMAGINE THE HORROR!!
3. Bella will drop Edward like a rock. But pine for him while doing some werewolf guy.
4. JK Rowling really is amazingly talented.
5. Buffy is a better version of this story.
