stalking - days 5 & 6

Day 5 was a pretty quiet day.  Overcast all day but the rain held off.... until about 30 minutes before the guests started to arrive.  Curses!!

As such, the crowd for the Dixie Chicks' documentary, Shut Up and Sing was pretty sparse.

"Surprise guests" of the night were Eva and Craig, CI4 Top2.  There was some screaming for them, mainly to come over (which they didn't) and it was mostly for Eva.

The guests of honour finally arrive -- 15 minutes after the film was to start -- and was immediately whisked away to the media line.  All the chanting and screaming by the crowd couldn't get them to come over.  Wasn't too impressed.  At least we didn't wait for hours unlike some hardcore Chicks fans. After we grabbed some dinner, we decided to check out the gala for El Cantante, starring Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony.

This was held at the Elgin Theatre and the setup is different from the Roy Thomson Hall galas (which is where most of the galas are held).  The big difference is that the traffic on Yonge Street isn't shut down.  The theatre side of the street was completely packed with (a) the ticket holder line and (b) the photographers.  The crowd was waiting on the other side but once J.Lo and Marc showed up, people starting running across, completing ignoring the fact that the cars are still driving by!!  Oh the insanity.  This is my one pic.

Guess who also showed up?  Lance and Reichan!  I believe e-Talk dubbed them the "It couple of TIFF".  It is now my mission to snag a decent picture of Lance & Reichan at the TIFF.  Don't have much time left, though.

Day 6 rocked!!  Managed to catch Jude Law 3 times -- going in and out of his press conference and at the gala, for his 2nd film at the festival, Breaking and Entering.
I was so freakin' close to the man, it was unbelievable!   The gala at night wasn't nearly as insane as the one on Sunday.  Guess the fact that it was a weekday and it looked liked it was going to rain helped keep the crowd away.  I was most impressed at the amount of time he spent with the fans.  His co-stars, Juliette Binoche spent a bit of time signing autographs at the gala and Robin Wright Penn did absolutely nothing, which wasn't surprising.  Not even a wave.  And it wasn't like she was running late or anything.  Not impressed with her but it was what I expected.
