Washing Machines
Donghae/Siwon

"What happened to the laundry?!" Siwon cried out. He stared, open-mouthed at the pile of the 'clean' laundry he had folded earlier. It was now covered with a thin layer of sand, grit, and sea water. Some clothes were also jumbled and crumpled, as if someone had tried to use them as a towel.
He frowned when he heard no answer, then remembered that everyone but himself and Donghae had schedules. "You've got to be kidding me." He thought about asking Donghae to help him, but realized that Donghae would space out and or pester him with stupid questions like "Siwon-ah? Why is the detergent blue? Why do you wear tightie whities? Why does Eeteuk hyung have boxers with hearts that say 'Kangin' on them? Why? Why? WHY?"
Siwon sighed and grabbed the pile of laundry, dumped it in basket, and headed once more towards the laundry room. "Talk about deja vu." He grumbled. He had several loads of laundry to do before the others came home or rather, before Heechul had to slap a bitch for dirtying his precious clothes.
The laundry room smelled faintly of Sexy!Boy liquid detergent, the beach, and something else Siwon could not quite identify: It smelled fruity and familiar. Siwon knew it wasn't Heechul's cologne because Heechul was gone for the day, filming yet another CF. It could not be food because Eeteuk hyung had warned them (threatened them, really) not to eat in the laundry room ever since the last incident (which coincidentally involved Donghae and a box of chocopies). Siwon shuddered and pushed that memory to the back of his mind, while shaking his head. He set the basket of clothes down by the door and flicked the laundry room light on.
The room became bathed in bright fluorescent light and Siwon blinked before bending down to get the basket. As he was standing up, there was a big black, and wet-looking something, blocking his line of vision: The something had its back turned to him and was sitting atop the washing machine. Siwon shifted the basket from hip to hip and cleared his throat. 'It' turned innocently to look at Siwon. "Oh.." It said. "Hi Siwonnie-ah!!! I thought you had a schedule?!" It jumped off the washer and gave him a bear hug. Upon further inspection, Siwon concluded that It was Donghae. It was a wet, sticky Donghae, eating a grape popsicle. "...So that's what that smell was!"
"Yah. You want a lick?" Donghae held the offending stick of frozen grape juice out to him, dripping purple onto the pristine white-tiled floor.
"No and no. Do you happen to know why the laundry I'm holding is dirty and smells like the beach?" Siwon wrinkled his nose and looked at Donghae.
"No idea."
"I'm going to tell Eeteuk hyung you've been eating in here."
"You wouldn't really do that to me would you?"
"Try me hyung."
Donghae fidgeted and shoved the rest of the popsicle in his mouth. He twirled the popsicle stick in his hand a bit before answering Siwon. "I went to the beach," Donghae swallowed and licked his purple lips.
"And?"
"And when I came home, I couldn't find a towel, so I grabbed the nearest dry thing."
"Which happened to be several of Heechul hyung's new shirts."
"Omo..."
"Omo is right, hyung. You'd better wipe that popsicle mess you made on the floor, then go take a shower. I'll do the laundry and if need be, explain to Heechul hyung why his clothes are still wet."
"Kay! Thanks Siwonnie~ You're the best!" Donghae gave Siwon another hug, making the front of his shirt sticky.
Siwon rolled his eyes and shoved the laundry into the machine. He poured a cup of detergent in with the clothes, shut the lid, and pressed the start button. The washing machine whirled for several seconds before giving a piteous gurgle. It wailed and Siwon heard the dreaded beeping that meant the washing machine was going to take a crap. "Oh no...Please don't break now. For the love of God, please don't break! God? Are you there? It's me Siwon. Please bless the washing machine and make it run so that I can wash Heechul's clothes before he gets home! ...Amen." Siwon opened his eyes and peeked at the washing machine. It was quiet but the screen was now blank and dark. "Oh no.."
Siwon ran up the stairs to the other dorm with a basket of semi wet laundry. He pounded on the door feverishly for quite a while before giving up hope. "Hello?! Anyone home yet?!!" His thoughts were racing, but he forced himself to calm down. He planned carefully. He could not go downstairs to the shared washing machine because the fan girls were sure to be there, ready with a camera. He could not go out to the cleaner for the same reason. Suddenly a lightbulb appeared above his head and while it was not the safest nor brightest idea, it was his only hope. He headed back to his dorm and to the bathroom.
He filled the tub with warm water and added some detergent. He swished the water around with his hand before dumping the clothes in. Now he would have to wait. And hope.
"Yah! Your God is home!" Heechul dropped Heebum unceremoniously onto the couch and flung his bag onto the chair by the door.
"Ah hyung! Welcome home!" Siwon strolled as casually as he could into the living room and paused in front of Heechul, arms outstretched.
Heechul stared at Siwon. "You look funny."
"Oh I think you are not yet better from eye surgery hyung. I look the same as I always do." He stepped forward and pulled Heechul into a hug.
"Hn," Heechul studied Siwon before pulling away. "Yah! Why are you sticky and wet?! Have you been on sex-capade or something?!"
"Ah...hyung...No....It's a long story..." Siwon blushed and tried to wipe the sticky away from Heechul's shirt.
"Aish I give up...for now. Oh my god what a day I've had! I'm in need of a hot shower! There'd better be some soup on the table when I get out!" Heechul took off his shoes and stomped to the bathroom.
"You can come out now Donghae." Siwon looked at the trembling couch.
Depsite Siwon comforting Donghae and telling him that he would tell Heechul it was his fault, Donghae could not help but be scared. Heechul-hyung was very scary when it involved his possessions.
The couch stopped its trembling and Donghae crawled out from underneath it. Dust clung to his shirt and hair and he brushed it off. "So, is it safe? Is Heechul-hyung in a happy mood?"
Siwon shrugged yes, no, maybe so.
Donghae took that as a yes and gave a shout of glee. "Thanks Siwon-ah! I owe ya one!" He grabbed his jacket and messenger bag and moon-walked towards the door. "When Eunhyuk comes home, tell him I went out for a while, but the video game marathon is still on for tonight! Thanks!" Without a second glance at Siwon, he opened the door and moon-walked out into the chilly afternoon.
Siwon heard the shower start.
"3...2....1.."
"YAH CHOI SIWON!"
And that, what you just read, was my very first fan-fiction ever.
;_;
I hope I haven't offended anyone with the God references.
I was inspired by my own laundry room, the craving for popsicles, and Siwon macros.
Siwon macros ftw~
