“No. I just came down here to give you an umbrella.”

Jinki was sitting on the sofa of his small apartment when his doorbell rang. He opened the door with a simple thought, ‘Who would be visiting me?’ He walked to the door slowly, holding a bat, Just in case. Opening the door, he saw that it was his neighbor.
“Hi! What brings you here?” Jinki asked the younger boy.
The younger stood there, baffled. “Weren’t you the one yesterday, at the bus stop?” Kibum questioned. “Jinki?”
Jinki looked amazed when Kibum said his name out loud. Like music in his ears. He nodded. “What did you need?” Jinki asked.
“I was going to introduce myself. I never see anyone come out of here. Nor do I hear people talking, but, it’s fine now that I realize who you are. Jeez. I’m rambling!” Kibum said.
Jinki chuckled and replied, “Oh, no it’s fine. Do you want to come in?” Jinki asked.
“Do you want your umbrella back?”
“You can keep it.”
They talked the whole afternoon, becoming best friends in one sitting. Jinki bid Kibum a farewell. Then, the sun set and the stars shone.

One year later.

Jinki and Kibum talk in the stuffy apartment of 156 everyday in the two hour gap they have between their work times.
On the weekends, they go out together. It had never really been considered a date. Until today.
Jinki called Kibum, telling him that they’d meet at the yogurt shop three blocks away. Kibum accepted.
Kibum arrived a few minutes before Jinki did. He saw Jinki walk through the door at exactly 3:33.
“Kibum. I have three words I want to say to you.”
Kibum remained silent.
“I love you.”
