summary: gwiboon loves waking up next to the love of her life every day. there's just something that makes them a little bit more special when she wakes up before the other girl.
gwiboon stirred in her half awake-half asleep state. she felt wonderful and cozy in her position and felt warmth covering the front of her body. when she slowly began to open her eyes, she peered down at her long-time girlfriend, eunsook.
eunsook was still sleeping, mouth slightly opened and brow furrowed in the most beautifully unattractive way, if that was such a thing. gwiboon felt eunsook's arms curled against her stomach, and half of her face buried in her chest, which she soon realized was still uncovered from the sex they had last night.
gwiboon smiled at remembering last night, slowly bringing up a hand to caress eunsook's head. there was just something special about these mornings in particular that made them amazing. not that every other morning waking up to eunsook wasn't amazing. it was waking up before the other woman had a chance to. eunsook looked so beautiful completely naked and gwiboon loved to stare at her like that. not sexually (necessarily), but taking in everything about her. seeing how beautiful she is with absolutely nothing to hide.
after all these years of being together, eunsook seemed to become more beautiful every day. gwiboon wondered how she was so blessed to be with such an amazing woman. she still didn't think that she deserved her, but eunsook always said otherwise.
gwiboon loved the way eunsook talked. her voice sounded like the sweetest honey anybody could ever want to have. she loved the way she idly played with her hair when she got nervous. the way she got flustered when gwiboon gave her all the same compliments she had given her ever since she gave her first try at wooing her in their high school days. how she put up with gwiboon's rude attitude when she was feeling extra pissy. how years ago in university eunsook would always welcome gwiboon back with open arms after she stormed out of the house when thy had a fight. after all these years, eunsook always remained kind and forgiving throughout all the things they had been through. and gwiboon loved that. she loved everything about her.
she felt eunsook begin to move around in her arms, and after a few seconds, she looked up at her with squinted eyes and gave her a small smile.
"good morning, sleepy head." gwiboon said with a kiss to the top of eunsook's head.
"good morning," eunsook replied with a kiss to gwiboon's collar bone, the closest thing her lips could reach. "how long have you been awake?"
"about twenty minutes," gwiboon said, snuggling her girlfriend back into her chest, "I was watching you sleep."
"wow, that's not creepy at all." eunsook giggled.
"hey, you're the one that sleeps with your mouth wide open and snores like an old man!" gwiboon laughed loudly and eunsook's face reddened.
"do not!"
"how would you know?" gwiboon's laughter was dying down and she looked down at her lover again. "you're asleep when it happens."
"w-well...I just know, okay?" eunsook refused to eye contact now, face red to the point that she felt hot.
"hey, hey, calm down. you don't snore." gwiboon smiled affectionately down at eunsook, kissing her forehead, then putting her forefinger and thumb to her chin to force her to look at her. she kissed her on the lips then closed her eyes and rested her forehead on her girlfriends.
"I love you." gwiboon whispered.
"I love you more." eunsook said with a tender smile.
the two girls lay in each other's embrace not saying anything and soon, they both started dozing off again. this time, having the covers pulled over themselves to get warmer.
just as gwiboon was about to fall asleep, she sighed out "I love mornings like this."
even though eunsook would never know the reason as to why gwiboon loved these mornings the way that she did, she thought that these mornings were perfect too.
a/n: thought of satellite_night while writing this, so I guess thanks for being some sort of inspiration? I think I'm just really happy that I made a friend that actually loves girlee as much as I do. I don't even know. excuse my writing bc I haven't written anything in months heheh
