Ask me any question you've always wanted to know about me or my life or my opinions on something and I will answer it. You can ask as yourself or even anonymously.

ANYTHING AT ALL YOU GUYS. I mean that. I am rather difficult to offend so it doesn't matter how weird/personal a question it is.

tell me your top-secret childhood nicknames, don't try to back out by saying you didn't have any, because in that case you can just make them up

I just got a mental picture of you lurking in the bushes... watching... waiting for a chance to ask this question.

The first one that comes to mind is "Ba(a)Ba(a)." This is an interesting set of syllables. People have been calling me this since I was VERY young and I'm told it comes from whatever dialect my family spoke... way back. Essentially means "wise one." There's a bit of an occultish connotation with this that no one can explain.

In Japanese, this can be an affectionate/childish (or derogatory, depending on who's using it or how it's said) way of saying "grandmother." Japanese society places a lot of emphasis on ancestor-worship and reverence and grandmothers are always considered wise. The etymology originates... somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember right now.

See also the Baba Yaga figure from Russian mythology:

Who is Baba Yaga? She is the Goddess, she is the Witch, she is the Wise Woman, she is the Crone, she is aged Artemis.I don't know if they were thinking of this (and I'm certainly not "old" enough ( ... )

Are you groomed down there? I'm not trying to be gross because it's something I worry about constantly. My mother never taught me anything about it since she thinks it only matters if you're sexually active and I'm not. Maybe it's her way of discouraging me?But when I hear friends talk about waxing or making shapes down there, etc, I get uncomfortable.

At the moment? No. My mother never taught me anything about it (or anything relating to sex... at all) either. I'll occasionally do a little landscaping but if it's unlikely that anyone's going to be horribly inconvenienced by it, I don't bother. It's itchy when the hair grows back and I can't be assed to maintain that sort of thing because I'm VERY lazy.

In summer, however, I'll habitually keep things trimmed/shaved "down there" because I have a tendency to start sweating when the temperature reaches 65F. So it's really for the sake of hygiene and my sanity in that case.

If it's something that's bothering you, perhaps you should go ahead and try it on your own or go have it done? I think this is an issue of personal preference and comfort rather than of sexiness, especially since you're not sexually active. And even then, it's iffy, since for every person that really cares, there's a person that doesn't.
