Don't miss out on it. Plain and simple.
I've been needing a break. All I ever do anymore is work and drive. This past weekend I finally got to kick it with my family. I made my family laugh. That felt really good. Really good. Josha and I goofed around, like we were little kids and best friends again. Kidney shot each other. Well, I "booped" his nose and he kidney shot me, haha. Raju had me drive him to his friends houses (Jo had his car) and we'd talk like old times. My cousin, Kim, and I took Neesh to lunch and a movie and played Slugbug and 'Stang. Neesh laughed so much. That felt amazing, just hearing her giggle and seeing that smile ... We haven't seen that smile or heard that laugh in such a long time. I made fun of Mani and he knows it's all in good fun. He's going to play soccer for Sprague this Fall. He says he's going to make the team regardless of skill (or severe lack thereof, in his case...) so it looks like I'm gonna be going to some soccer games and buying Oly Soccer sweatshirts. I can't pin down Mika for 5 minutes. I feel so helpless when it comes to her. She used to be the one that I had the strongest connection with, and now, I can't reach her. I need her back. This Friday, I plan on devoting it to her and Neesh.
I've missed my family.
And I'm always going to miss our glue.
If anyone reads this - don't take your family for granted. Even if it doesn't seem like it, they will teach you lessons that you can't learn anywhere or from anyone else.
