(For the record, I have always hated the term "PC Police", because there's no excuse not to behave with normal human decency. But as I've mentioned a few times over the past few years, modern social [media] activism has gotten so. bizarre. And there has been some really awful backlash in my view, in that this overzealous pursuit of eliminating symptoms ends up ignoring or worsening underlying root issues. Or giving toxicity a platform in the guise of moral righteousness.)
