un-go, winter season watchlist, manga, the usual
Un-Go 7: the requisite BONES mindfuck episode. If I wasn't already in love, I would be now. (It seems I was very, very right about this being a subversion of the whodunnit -- it's an outright deconstruction*, actually. It is kind of glorious.)
* Like, an actual deconstruction, as opposed to "darker and edgier"/hardboiled (I'm thinking in particular of Chandler's criticisms of Golden Age mysteries). And what's awesome in particular is that the deconstruction is only one aspect of the series.
This is really the only thing I'm watching while everything else builds up in a giant backlog. Although I think even with this I'm 1-2 weeks behind.

Winter season shows... only definite watch is the next Natsume Yuujinchou season.
Miscellaneous things to check out:
- Brave10 (because ninjas and old-school action/romance. [the manga is decently entertaining, although pretty typical "useless girl with supernatural powers hangs out with hot badasses". She's kinda unbearably dumb too, but I suspect it's at least in part an act or a self-defense mechanism. That said, unoriginal as it is, I kind of prefer it to Clamp's new bizarre take on the Sengoku era. Though since when is Sengoku-inspired stuff NOT ridiculous? And did I just spend that many words defending a series I don't even feel strongly about at all??)
- Aquarion Evol (never watched the original, but hey... Yoko Kanno [though not one of my favorites of hers, i liked the soundtrack from the first one]. Also because I am totally ready to take on moar Shoji Kawamori. :P)
- Mouretsu Pirates (female space pirates. This will either be silly in a good way or complete shit. Guess which one I'm betting on?)
Why does it feel like I only ever post about shows I don't even end up watching these days?
Ah well.

Bleach and Naruto both boring me. Bored bored bored. Even with some of my favorite characters getting screen time for the first time in a long while.
Wow Conan file this week is just WALL OF TEXT and it's not even the final solution chapter XD. Plus a lot of eeeeeep as all the key players draw closer together. (Conan you little overconfident nutcase)
Also I am freezing. :(
