So my posts lately have been up-down up-down up-down and all. Here's another up after an up!
So Monday I did the physical examination. After a skeptical evaluation by the doctor he told my to come back for today to get a few tests done. First they did an echo to see if my heart has parts in it all messed up. Course I already know something is wrong with it, what with the mitral valve all floppy. The procedure was really quick and the echo tech was really stone faced so I'll have to wait on those results. The stress test was fun cause I got to run on a treadmill..... that elevates. My heart rate started at 105 and went to 210. Afterwards I had to do the cooldown period, which is supposed to last less than 5 minutes. At 6 minutes my heart rate was still at 140 and actually started to climb again a few times. 15 minutes later they aborted the cooldown measurement readings and sent me into the waiting area again. The actual excersize portion of the test only lasted 9 minutes.
Finally they hooked me up to a monitoring device that will track my heartbeats for 24 hours. I am wearing it right now! Course I can't take a bath... so... Imma smell for a bit. All in all I am confident they are at least going to acknowledge I have a problem. Their looks of surprise were kind of telling. All in all I feel pretty good right now. Though I hope I can get through the weekend without going crazy from MORE waiting.
