I was supposed to go to see my grandpa Saturday night in order to relay to him that I was ok and out of the hospital. Because he is crazy, it is important to call ahead of time to make sure he doesn't shoot you when you come around. My phone wasn't working for whatever reason and I couldn't get in touch with him.
It wasn't hours later that *I* get a call saying he was going to the hospital under emergency conditions. He was in great pain and distress as well as having extremely high blood pressure. After much of the night worrying whether he was still alive, I finally receive word he was going to go under surgery for a gall bladder removal. This wouldn't be for another 14 hours though, meaning he was in pretty bad shape for very nearly 20 to 22 hours :/
The other day I went to pick him up and he's recovering well. He's very out of energy and seems to be eating very little, but he's at least not in terrible pain. I'll be checking on him tomorrow in person.
In other news I'm feeling pretty terrible again with some fairly constant pain running from my sternum to my elbows. I am also getting irregular pulses of sharp tearing pain on my left side along with some kind of turbulent sensation. I am trying to make some sort of arrangement with doctors, but it is not going well.
grandpa,
