Christians Vs Homosexuals: Exodus International

Now that I have had a proper look through the Exodus website, I suppose I better report back on what I found.
I would like it stated here and now that, despite what I have to say, if these people found their version of happiness, good luck to them.

I hope you don't mind me rambling a bit here...

I have some problems with Exodus- I really think that some of the points they make are inaccurate.

1. http://exodus.to/content/view/49/25/ "Pray God will give them the courage and perseverance to achieve sexual abstinence. Sexual activity usually covers deep wounds. Once activity stops, the "pain-killer" of sex wears off and underlying emotional pain can surface. Be there to listen and support them in this process."

Lately I've started to realize that I'm attracted to women, not men, and have started to identify as a lesbian. There's a full post about that in my journal, if you're interested. I'm sixteen, am not sexually active, and never have been. The way that quote is worded makes it sound almost as if they're saying that covering emotional pain with sex has a connection to homosexuality.

2.http://exodus.to/content/view/43/25/ "But we find hundreds of former homosexuals who have found a large degree of change--attaining abstinence from homosexual behaviors, lessening of homosexual temptations, strengthening their sense of masculine or feminine identity, correcting distorted styles of relating with members of the same and opposite gender."

The bolded quote is, I think, related to the homosexual stereotypes. These people don't understand that homosexuality and gender identification are two different things. What, in order to understand two people of the same sex being attracted to one another, they have to imagine them into heterosexual roles?
As for the last option listed: they really didn't explain it well. What's distorted?

This page again talks about gender identification, which is not the same as sexual orientation. I wish people would get that through their heads.

It seems to me like the issue with Exodus is this: they believe that some sort of trauma in a person's life is what caused his homosexuality. To them, it's not possible that someone could simply be homosexual naturally, without any pain influencing him. So to someone comfortable with his homosexuality, their arguments don't hold any weight.
