treat it right; serving you forever

My feet are getting pummeled lately...probably should stop wearing thin-soled shoes with holes in them.

You know how the text in word-packed pages sometimes make images from the spaces? I would often read my textbooks back in high school...less and less focused on the content and more and more absorbed in the shapes the letters (or spaces) were making. It would freak me out when I would see something scary...like a random face or something.

I also get freaked out looking at the t.v. screen during those ZZZZZZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA moments where the screen...snow-storms? Is that what it's called?  You know what I'm talking about, right? It's called something else but I've blanked...
But those screens always scare me because then, I definitely see people moving and waving at me and running out of the screen, etc etc.

It was the same for my walls...I have this "faux-wood" wallpaper that serves absolutely no purpose in adding any amiable warmth to the room, and rather creates a dismal black hole in the cell without windows that is my abode.
The "wood" has the same rings pattern that would come from cut wood that shows the rings of branches and trunk....but the rings look more like evil willow-man eyes staring out to grab your limbs from the bed.

People always say how nice it is that kids have such vivid imaginations...but those moments really made me wish I'd see other things...like...words, and blank tv screens, and ugly wall paper.

Guess it helps to grow up.

house, random
