As some people know, this past weekend was Nan Desu Kan in Denver, and I went with a whole bunch of people. As to be expected from a con, it was a lot of fun but it was also a huge headache. I love my friends to pieces, but some of them *coughallofthemcough* need to work on their listening and planing skills. Because I was the one who knew everybody, and where things were, and made living arangements, I was made the unspoken leader of our little group. This wouldn't have been so bad if people could just learn to listen and tell me things. I don't know how many times I had to repeat myself this past weekend and still there was at least one person who completly blew off what I told them and went off on their own tangent without telling me. The result of this was that whenever I tried gathering people back up to go from point A to point B, it often took about half an hour because we would have to go looking for people. This in turn stressed Crystal out quite a bit and made her grouchy and short tempered at time. Add that to the fact that I didn't sleep at all Thursday night and my period had just started, you can consider it a miricle that I didn't end up killing someone.
Now onto the fun stuff. I finally saw Nea and Ryan for the first time in three years and that in itself made the whole thing worth it. We all stayed at my dad's new hotel and it was pretty nice. We had a boy room and a girl room to make my parental unit happy and these rooms were quite large. They had a living room area with a couch and t.v. with a kitchenette in right next to them and a seperated bedroom with 2 queen size beds. Needless to say everyone was quite impressed. The con itself is what you would think of a con. Very noisy, a lot of fanatics in costumes, and overall a lot of fun. It was made even better because my sister and her friends joined us at the con and she went con crazy wich was very amusing. She got 645 hugs between Saterday afternoon and Sunday evening and that was only the ones she counted. We all entered into battle cosplay and that was massively entertaining even though none of us made it past the second round *which was ok because Chris, Jeanette, Zane, and I had to go to the Naruto photo shoot* and we took a lot of pictures.
Oh and I got autographs from a couple of VAs. I of course got some for me, but I think I made Ashley's weekend because even though she couldn't get to meet some of her favorite DBZ VAs she still got to talk to them because I had them talk to her on the phone, and I got their autographs for her. Ashley should feel loved.
So yeah, that was my weekend. I made a little music video with some of the pictures I took from NDK. It's not all of the pictures, but a good chunk of them, so I hope you enjoy.
