It's definitely worth seeing past the AU aspect of this fic to give it a chance because it does a very good job of showing the potential Cedric had to become a wonderful man. In fact, it also realises the potential of another undeveloped character in Teddy. This fic takes them down a path which requires choices involving sacrifices and personal values. Along the way it's filled with little details that add flavour to JKR's world that reminds you just why we love playing in that sandbox so much. Also, a very inspired examination of the centaur-wizard feud.
