Okay, I'll post a real post sometime soon, but right now before I forget -- Blackhawks single game tickets (if we have a season, owners willing and the CBA don't implode) go on sale on Monday this week? So I kind of need to get my shit together, because I'm still wildly indignant about how much markup there was on the tickets we had to get through the resale market this year and I'd like to get tickets at face value if I can. The schedule is really unkind for the time I'm likely to be in the USA, so it looks like the only good option for "come down to Chicago after MJ+Madison for a game" is the game against the Bolts on 29th of March.
Does anyone else want to go with me and Kat and probably-hopefully-Izzy? :D? If anyone in the US can get tickets for themself+us (and thus ticketfast tickets, because as a non-US resident I basically have to sign over my life and rights to ticketmaster as well as paying through the nose and I can still only get Will Call; FUCK YOU TM) I would be wicked grateful and can pay you back for all three immediately; I can also get tickets for people if necessary. Anyone whose couch I've slept on is on the list of people I'm cool with letting pay me back later. <3
Probably I can't see the Oilers at all next year. :( Why is distance. And the Canes are only a dim possibility. I KNEW this year would ruin me for fortuitous scheduling. (Someone tell me I can NOT see the Hawks at Kings AND THEN GET ON A RED EYE TO MJ. That's a STUPID STUPID PLAN ...that I'm totally investigating because let's face it we've all met me.)

Honestly, I had kind of a mopey evening in many respects -- I'm worried something's happened to a guy on one of my teams (or his family), because the whole team were wearing black arm bands and his jersey was hanging behind their bench; one of the opposition's skaters had to be back-boarded off the ice this evening and taken to hospital and that was horrible and scary; both Auckland teams lost; I did something minor-league dumb that hopefully no one will care about but I'm too priggish to not be annoyed by having done something stupid; my car wouldn't start again (I am now a professorologist of jumpstarting, I'm not even joking); I wanted to self-medicate with the glorious HD of the Devils/Thunder game from last week but then I realised there's no way I have that much bandwidth here; and I have cramps like whoa. In conclusion: mrrh.
SO NOW I'M WATCHING THE GOONIES AND MAYBE THEN SLAP SHOT AND THEN I'M GOING THE FUCK TO BED.
