Fannish cocktails!
Okay, so this is hearkening back to a discussion (that Kat is awesome and found in her email, yay!) from months ago where we got to inventing fannish cocktails. And I thought the internet might like to weigh in, mostly because it was super fun to come up with them. So! Here are ours, fresh from the passel of fandom considered to be Aucklanders by both birth and adoption:
Sonic Screwdriver
-6 ounces clear lemonade (er, NZ lemonade. Americans, we mean like Sprite or 7 Up)
-1 1/2 ounces blue curacao
-1 1/2 ounces vanilla vodka
-ground ginger or ginger beer (the Doctor always wanted to be ginger!)
Mix to taste. Try to remain inside your own time continuum.
We also invented (and this one we actually taste-tested) Feminist Hulk Punch.
-Midori
-Vodka (most likely 42 Below Fejoia)
-Schweppes Dry Lemonade
-??
This one was pretty close to a 1:1:1:1 blend of the ingredients above and... something else I forget. (

It was AGGRESSIVELY green, and exceptionally alcoholic, and we had an enormous bowl over it over New Years Eve, which took quite the beating and yet survived almost in its entirety into the next day. I believe it was slowly finished off over a few days. To the eventual death of many braincells. Also, we were totally smashing the patriarchy while drinking it. Most successful! :D
...belatedly, it also occurs to me that you could argue a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster would be pretty appropriate for Fringe, too. Hee.
Now you guys! Invent your fandoms a drink! Please? (I would say: so we can have fannish cocktails at cons but I suspect ingredients wise that would be logistically challenging. :D)
