Hi, flist. Please to be forgetting my almost total absence around these parts for the last week (if not longer), and talk to me about cameras.
As I've mentioned (...ad nauseam, sorry :/) I am breaking up with my current camera on account of it sucking worse than can be accounted for by even my lack of skill, and so I'm looking for something else. Preferences are as idiot-proof as possible, fits in my boot when I have to smuggle it into shows pocket, decent optical zoom, image stabilisation if I can afford it and generally something that copes well with a few knocks and loud music at concerts. :D I currently have a Sony Cybershot, the last three cameras I've had have all been Sony, and it seems like everyone I know uses other brands with far more success, so I'm figuring branching out is a good idea.
So, first question, because on paper they look good (and are on special - I maybe windowshopped a bit last night, er) - has anyone heard much good/bad/otherwise about the Panasonic "Lumix" cameras? I was looking at two of those and they seemed decent.
Otherwise, is there any particular cameras you would personally reccommend/warn me about?
Much, much appreciated, guys. <3
(And I swear I'm going to try to catch up this weekend. I'm only... ten... days behind. Um.)
cameras,
