Yes, because John Sheppard is TOTALLY the ideal role model in this situation.

Um. So. Hypothetically, if I was maybe... looking at something, and thinking about it a lot, like enough that it was triggering my 'should follow instincts' setting, and maybe that something was to do with the five hundred miles between Denver and Salt Lake City and the thought that it would be summer so PROBABLY there wouldn't be snow in the ( Read more... )

Dude, I already promised Frog I'd go to Las Vegas with her to see them. I'm not sure I can warrant Salt Lake City, too. I don't like them THAT much.

Uhm... actually, no. That show is RIGHT during my hellish time of the month work-wise and I really really can't justify putting myself through that much stress again (not to mention spend money) for a band I only kind of like. :-/

But, dude, you won't be alone. I know Whitney's DEFINITELY going if nothing else and you'll have a great time with her.

You know, my urge to kick your work in the balls is only rising and rising right now. *just hugs* (Though the money thing, really, if I was mostly after company I wouldn't have expected you to kick in for that.)

Oh, really? Yay. *sort of selfishly hopes Froggie doesn't go to REM after all so she can go too* *and not just cos she has FOUR TICKETS*

If the show was a week later, I'd totally go. That's just a REALLY bad time for me. I had to miss Cobra Starship for the same reason I was a hell of a lot more bummed about that.

Nuts. Seriously, your work need (I know, preachign to the converted, and preaching from the place of 'my work took seven months to replace a very much needed person who had left') to HIRE SOMEONE ELSE or change their processes or something, because if they work you into a breakdown/major oos flare/brokenness in general, they are so so screwed. And I totally hear you on that, I do (and I bet, because oh man, Cobras), but I have to say, I don't understand why you couldn't go full stop - I mean, surely you weren't still AT work at nine pm? Couldn't you just go after work and let that wind you down a little/up in a different way?

It was worse this month because I'd missed Monday and then came back to work to find that the program I need MOST wasn't working. At all. So I wasted about 2-3 hours trying to that fixed. So, it's not ALWAYS that bad, but I really really don't want to go through that ever again.

As for Cobra... well, I didn't get a ticket because I KNEW I'd be busy with work and I KNEW that if I had something I had to worry about attending, I'd only make myself even MORE stressed out. As it was, I was at work until 8:00, then I went home and collapsed. I wouldn't have been in the mood for a concert.

Yeah, I remember seeing. I think that's pretty much shit of the system in general to be able to fall over like that and dump so much stress on you. MEH.

And, okay, fair, I just tend to go with the assumption in hand myself that when the show starts I'll get INTO the mood, you know? *hugs you a lot* Hopefully the cobras will come back around at a different time, though. *crosses fingers for you*
