I had these shiny wondrous plans of doing things tonight, except, well. My SG-1 season 10 box set arrived (deepdiscountdvd.com ftw!) and the siren call of commentary was far too much to bear. Mmmm. 200. *Homer Simpson impression* (And, omg, how much do I love Rob Cooper admitting they based it on the Treehouse of Horror episodes. Oh, SHOW.) *has spent last hour and a bit making demented budgerigar noises* (I can't stop! Send help!)
Although what I do not love is the ad on the flyer insert promising 'the complete SG-1 collection' due this fall, with 'hours of never-before-released special footage'. Because I HAVE all the existing box sets, and yet, words like those serve to act like crack cocaine upon me, because I get all omgwant-y. It's the bloody DVD equivalent of 'not for retail sale/demo use only' on records. *twitch* And, man, speaking of twitch-- I now know what the One Tree Hill record sleeve is meant to look like (I found mine in a random K Rd store, no longer in the original sleeve) because Real Groovy have one, and it is, of course, obscenely expensive. But it is so pretty and alksdjalksdj. Ngh. Memo to self: win lotto.
I swear I didn't flail every time I saw Martin Gero on screen. Well, much.
Oh! I remembered the other thing I was going to post about (proving that I, or my unconscious mind, at least, have/has no shame). So, last night (and I didn't even remember this till about lunch time) I totally dreamed that tenar and I were running a covert lesbian porn business out of my dad's company offices. Er, that is, we were distributing and selling DVDs, not making it. (I feel this probably should be clarified!) And, frankly, I'm a little disturbed at how elaborately my subconscious designed the (tackily titled, yet discreetly photographed) 'movies'. Heh. Clearly it has retained more from the video store than I realised.
Finally, Things Wot I Learned Today:
-Bread, even when frozen in a freezer, does not keep indefinitely. Sadly, I discovered this AFTER introducing it to my soup. Farewell, sweet luncheon.
-Aim the spray attachment AWAY from one's chest. AT ALL TIMES.
SIGH.
