Dudes. Fandom is educational. Thanks to thingswithwings (who I am feeling the desire to fangirl within an inch of her(?) life right now thanks to the most recent story posted), I've just discovered what one of my favourite literary devices is called: zeugma. \o/ (I mean especially the syllepsis type - I don't think I get to use them very often, but it always makes me intensely happy to do so.)
