And now: aaaaaaaaaanimals! ...and not in the Ricky Gervais way, either. :D

I was going to put this in my other post, but I figured I should put it together, and also this way it should be kidsafe to look at, if it needs to be. Mel, you might want to take a squiz at these. :D

Sadly blurry pictures from when we visited the farm with the alpacas a couple weeks back. It was pretty much DARK by the time we got there, so my camera did a good job to get these, really.

(And they were so SOFT, too!)

* * *

Right, so mum was at Dream World on the Gold Coast on Sunday, and she was just showing me her pictures just now, and I can't resist sharing.

KOALA! So close, too.

CommandoKoala, hiding out in the gum tree!

Mum says the photos really don't give you an idea of the scale, and this fellow was enooooooooormous, and right up against the glass.

And another.

I really love this shot - isn't it gorgeous? Just a little gecko going about his business, and about to live dangerously by slinking under the fence into the croc enclosure.

Dingo. It just looks like a regular dog, doesn't it? No wonder they interbreed so much.

Baby tiger at TigerIsland. *is consumed by the adorableness*

White tiger and keeper.

KITTY.

For Master B - it's a little hard to see, but it's a kookaburra on top of the tree. Unfortunately the only shot where it was on the ground (sitting BY the tiger!) came out blurrier than anything.

Treed!

Don't you just want to pet him?

Sierra the cougar, who is ten years old now. She and her sister came to DreamWorld when they were three week old cubs, and that happened to be when my family was there last, and so Mark and I got to see them, and we think actually PET them, and my hand to god, seriously, the cougar cubs? Were the cutest things I have seen in my life EVER, including baby kittycats of any other type. *flails at memory*

L’il tiger cub is completely tired out. (So. Cute.)

And, lastly -- Mum took a bunch of video of Sierra, so there’s a lot of Informational Narration from the keeper guy, and at about three minutes in she makes this fantastic leap. I had to shrink it in videora to make it small enough to upload to youtube, so I imagine the picture quality will have that charming YouTube graininess now. I thought it was cool enough to spend an hour uploading to share, anyhoo. (Edit: Okay, YouTube is dragging ass. It should be up eventually.)
