Title: Some Southern Persuasion
Artist:
otoshigo Summary: England remains stoic even in the face of an extremely tempting offer.
A/N: If it isn't immediately obvious, this is an allusion to the American Civil War. The Confederacy had banked on British support to bail them out in the war, relying on the idea that Europe was dependent upon its cotton. However, Britain remained officially neutral throughout the affair. There's two obvious ways to tell North and South apart. First, the blue and gray suits and second, one has Texas and the other has Nantucket.
Title: Battle of the Nations
Artist:
otoshigo Summary: 60s America and England duke it out on stage
A/N: Some lineart, nonetheless I'm quite proud of it. The 60s also happens to be one of my favorite eras of American and British music. (Anyone hear of The Who?)
Title: The British Invasion
Artist:
otoshigo Summary: An Homage *coughparodycough* to Himaruya, in which America travels to England on his boss's orders to investigate the British Invasion.
A/N: This was done entirely on post-it notes (secretly during work), so forgive me if it looks a little messy. I attempted to do this in Himaruya's style as part of the homage, but I'm pretty sure a little bit of my hand slipped through. This is a parody of Himaruya's strip on the Black Ships Come to Japan although it does highlight one of my favorite parts of the USxUK relationship - the utter dysfunctionality of it. XD
