So Okinawa was really awesome and I am hoping to get back down there again before my roommate leaves the country, so I can go and eat more chanpuru eat more soba play in the water some more. See if I can't visit the island of Aka, or if we can rent a car and go to Naha or something.
Things at work are pretty good. I am out of the honey moon phase, thankfully, and have returned to sanity. I love my kids, but twelve one and a half year olds? Is overwhelming sometimes. Two sets of eyes don't seem to be enough, and the best week that we had was when there were three of us in there. Unfortunately, we won't have that third person again until my classes hit 15 students I think. But it sounds like I will soon reach that point, and that they will be looking for a third person to come to my classes. Thank goodness. Because I want to do better, but it's hard. That said, it's more satisfying then work has been in years, and I don't mind hanging out with my coworkers outside of normal working hours, and I don't entirely mind staying a little later to finish things up if I need to.
Also I can wear shorts to work. This is pretty fabulous.
Anyway, I am going to spend the rest of the day shopping and baking/cooking. Made mush for breakfast tomorrow, plan on making zucchini bread and chanpuru this evening. Possibly muffins if there will be room in the freezer.
I think I might make chili tomorrow.
Also making plans for my BBQ this year. I am so excited for it, lol. I need to think of a cake to make, stat!
I have also seriously been contemplating what will happen next March. Details about that when I have some.
FUJI I will post some food pictures ASAP. Unless you are on FB, then maybe I should friend you and you can see them now. XDDD
Oh, I almost forgot. May 10th was my birthday. Last Tuesday I became a year older. Crazy. That was a good night. :)
