School of Lock

So today we had this really awesome event at school where I got to see four different bands composed of a mixture of my students play.  The first group even played the Fighting Dreamers song (The first Naruto opening that FLOW did), which was pretty cool.  And I got to see the Kakashi fangirl sing--WTF I DID NOT KNOW SHE WAS IN A BAND AT ALL.  She and I only ever talk about Naruto and Kakashi.  XDD

Anyway after the kids finished, the band Flumpool came out and played.  I had never heard of them beforehand but apparently they are somewhat popular here.  My students were really excited and honestly?  I was pretty psyched myself!  I like music and this band wasn't all that bad.  I am, however, suffering a headache now and that might have been from the REALLY LOUD music.

Apparently this will be on TV at some point.  I am staying tuned for details.
This was such a GREAT experiance for the kids too.  They were so happy and thrilled.  It was super enjoyable.  The last band of students played a song for us teachers and they dedicated it to the teacher who passed on--Ahh, I am not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear or two.  It was sweet.

Ahhh, the rest of my day involved reading Out by Matsuo Kirino, which is a pretty fabulous book.  I am over halfway through it, and holy CRAP.  I think I've missed reading crime fiction.  I am so excited to see what happens!  I haven't been this excited about a book for awhile (this will CHANGE IN MAY.  8D  NEW SOOKIE BOOK EEEEEE).  Okay I haven't been this excited since last May haha.  XD  But still!  I am just so interested in the characters, so vested . . . I might end up sending this book home to share with my mother, I think.  It's really well written.  Sometimes, Japanese authors are very, VERY good.  Sometimes they are AWFUL but I think that can be said about authors in any country.  It gets a little messy in parts, but you can skim them without missing anything.  I will have to review it when I am finished.

I think that's about it.  Maybe I'll get a shower soon, and head to bed.  Graduation's on Wednesday!  Weeeeeep, I will miss my third years when I am trapped with the hellions and no peace in sight.
