Thanks onemanga, you suck

So it's pretty official: Onemanga.com is blocking Japanese ips, the only way to access it is by using a proxy. I'm not really thrilled about this, as I use them to keep up to date with my manga, and I find the whole proxy thing to be a pain. Why they are doing this is beyond me; as far as I'm concerned the only manga I read right now worth getting the kanji dictionary out for is Full Metal Alchemist and Gokusen, and I have no desire to buy that monthly serial for ONE story. Grrr. As for Gokusen, that's just a bit beyond my ability, as it's mostly crazy yakuza Japanese.

Today was my first day back, and a look at the schedule only serves to remind me that ughughugh, they are just tossing me back into this with no cushion. Not that I expected it, but I hate having the full schedule week. I want some break! Ahahahaha.

Still working on the Fukuoka trip. Seems Kate and I might be flying, whoo! That'll be fun. I always seem to do crazy things with her.<333

Went to dinner last night with Brigid, Ping and Will. They'd gone to pottery earlier, and brought mine with them. Sadly, I don't like how any of my stuff came out, it just looks so bleh. I wish that he'd do some kind of matte glazes, I should really ask next time. I did make a new Obito and Kakashi that are the same size (yay!) but they don't look so great, as my lines were not deep enough and the glaze washed them out. Baahh. My water elemental incense holder's hole for incense also got blocked up a bit by the glaze. =/ And my experimental cup came out poorly, which makes me sad. I want to try it again though. (I think I named it Ugly Cup when I made it, so it's name remains a good one?)

I was going to get dressed up and head into the City, but I will wait and do that on Saturday, and maybe stay the night. It's way too cold to ride my bike to the station in a dress, even with pants, so I am planning on taxi-ing down Saturday and staying through Sunday, and taxi-ing back. Lazy? Maybe, but holy crap, it is so cold. Way to welcome me back, Japan. I don't think I could hate you more at the moment.

Going to get senpai's help and write an email to the dentist's office, and see about this wisdom teeth thing. Apparently it will get done in two trips, which pisses me off a lot, but this is Japan and to be honest, if insurance is paying for it, I can't really complain too much. One of my JTEs said that she would come with me. I have a feeling, though, I will be fighting to get sick leave for this, but this is a medical issue, and I am sure that I will get my way, somehow. They like me here. One thing I will say, I am glad I have painkillers from the US, because it seems that dentistry here doesn't believe in painkillers after the work, or even during it, really. But it can and will be done, I really, REALLY hope that they will just knock me out for it. I am, however, concerned that my house will not be warm enough for me when I get back from the work. Which makes me wonder if it could wait until it gets warmer. I think I could, but I don't want to. I just don't know. My JTE was telling me about one teacher who got a fever, I can only assume because he wasn't properly taking care of his teeth afterwards. This country swings between intelligent and flamingly stupid sometimes, and I do not understand it.

There is a thought that I could go and stay with Ping and Brigid during this, because their apartment is considerably warmer. However, I can get my bedroom pretty hot, so as long as I don't spend too much time making my food, and keep my head wrapped up, I should be okay, right? Sigh.

This is all so stressful. I almost wish I could have paid the $4000 to get it done back in the US. =/
