[When the Pokémon Center began to run low on medicine, Athrun had volunteered to run to the Poké Mart to stock up on their over-the-counter medicine. And so he ventured out into the mayhem, using his team to ward off anything around them. A few times a bug got through, but Athrun was always able to dodge long enough for one of his Pokémon to take care of the problem.
Not so on the way back from the Poké Mart, however. With the supplies in his hands, Athrun couldn't dodge as well, and so found himself stung by a Skorupi. He didn't let that slow him down, however, and continued moving on toward the Pokémon Center.
Eventually, though, the poison began to take effect. First the stung leg went numb, and Athrun nearly tripped several times. Then that entire side of his body began to go numb, and then it spread to his legs.
But Athrun would not stop. Using every ounce of strength he had, he crawled his way toward the Pokémon Center. Soon, it was in sight.]
Just...little...farther...!
[All around him, Athrun's Pokémon were fighting valiantly to keep their trainer safe. Athrun kept going...slowly...slowly...]
...Made it...
[Athrun made it to the doors...then passed out. The poison had finally brought him down inches from the finish line. He lay in front of the doors, slumped over the package.
Thinking quickly, however, Striker, Athrun's Porygon, dived into Athrun's pocket and fished out his PokéGear. It immediately dived into it.]
