It's rare for me to stop and actually admire something about nature. It simply just rarely happens. So when I became awestruck this afternoon, I felt it necessary to jot this down, if anything else so I can prove to myself that I have some sensibility.
It was 73 degrees, and the sun was shining brightly. The grass was green and the trees were exploding with colors. The sunglasses I have have a strange tint to it that makes colors seem a little more vibrant. A comforting Barenaked Ladies song about coming home was on the radio, and everything just seemed so...perfect.
It was a moment of happiness that I'm glad to have paid attention to. In the midst of all of the bitter, frustrated, and defeatist entries I write or want to write, it's nice to be able to chalk one into the victory pile once in awhile.
