I just discovered the greatest thing of all time. Okay, perhaps that is a hyperbole, but it really is the most wonderful computer application I've come across in a while. Unfortunately, it has the effect of making me love my Mac even more and now I'm even more tempted to get a Mac as my next computer. Ah, curse you Apple with your attractive and ( Read more... )

Hi Miss Vickie!! anonymous July 14 2006, 23:37:35 UTC
it's Lisa Man here! Just wanted to say HELLO! and apologize for my non-presence, since the bar is taking up all of my time. Let's hang out after the end of July (after the bar) if you're free! I'll be in the DC area also for the next year, so don't be a stranger!

Oh btw, I read your last entry (the one on July 12th). If [Miss X] is the same person that I think it is, I just want to go on record saying I NEVER saw the resemblance. The people that thought so (Mario, I suspect, being one) really need their eyes checked. You have similar hair, but that's about as far as it goes. But hey, you're both gorgeous, so it's all good, right? =)

You still use that old Dell? I cringe just thinking about how slow it was, and that was like two years ago. It must have malware out the wahzoo. Anyway, for your purposes I'd go with an iMac or a MacBook depending on whether you need mobility. If mobility isn't necessary, I think the desktop would be better because the larger display would cause less eyestrain. In terms of speed, they actually have the same CPU speed and memory configurations, but the desktop has a faster hard drive which should decrease load times for apps and large files. On the other hand, it's nice to be able to take your computing with you, especially if there's good wifi coverage. I'd definitely look into this for the med school you'll be attending. Hope this helps!
