Ran this morning with Brynn. Last night's goal was for anaerobic endurance. This morning was a different story... First off, it was pretty chilly so I wore my sweats and my black Reebok shirt that Brynn got from the Goodwill for $0.99! Very very sweet deal, probably the best deal on clothing I've ever seen, really. So it was chilly. And I was tired [c'mon, it was 5:30 AM!] So those two mixed with me not being a morning person caused my strategy to change from anaerobic endurance to long warm-up plus intervals. We ran to the 1.5 mile turn-around on the Big P and I decided it was time to do some 3 minute intervals in zone 5b. We did two, might have been able to get three in if we wanted but I didn't want to push it. If I didn't have to go straight to work I would have, but otherwise I felt pretty good afterward.
Tonight I did a very easy bike on the Big P. Rode to the 1.5mi turn-about and then went down to Center St. and came back home. Total time: 51+ minutes [too lazy to get my cyclometer], avg speed 12.8mph. Some niiiice stretching tonight and then relaxation.
Next workout: easy swim with Brynn tomorrow evening. I'll probably be working with her a bunch on technique and getting her more comfortable in the water. I only have 6 weeks to turn her into a triathlete!
