Oh man. Okay. Well, this post goes into a lot of detail and is really great. It's why I started shipping them even though I already loved their music. But here are the basics:

- There's Caleb (think of him as Taylor -- wears, scarves and mumbles), Nathan (Zac -- hairy drummer), Jared (who used to look just like Carrick used to look lol), and their cousin Matt.

- Caleb wrote Sex on Fire after having a fight with Nathan over one of their girlfriends who the other didn't like. His shoulder was dislocated at the time.

- He also wrote a song about Nathan having sex with a prostitute at a brothel.

- The three brothers took showers together as kids/teenagers.

- Jared's the youngest brother, and he often jokes about Caleb and Nathan's relationship. I can't find the exact quote, but he even talked about them making out once. A joke, sure, but who jokes about that?!

- They all had drug problems, so you've got stories about holding each other all night during overdoses and stuff.

- When Nathan got married, Caleb wrote a song called Mary. As in, "Mary (Marry) if you want to, I'll waive the right." There's also a lyric about going out and dancing "like boyfriends."

I feel like there's probably more, but that was about enough for me.

Seriously, I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I love them. The whole three brothers thing plus their religious upbringing obviously reminds me of a certain other three brothers, but KOL went in such a different direction. Isaac called them pricks once over canceling a concert, and while I do sort of agree, it's kind of refreshing that they relish in their fucked up-ness and don't try to hide it or hide from it. I think Hanson could be a little less (supposedly) squeaky clean without going off the rails as far as KOL have.

Got away from my point a bit there. Mostly I just think the incest thing is so obvious and has so much fic potential... yet there's virtually no KOL fic. I don't get it.
