Lush party
Was much fun. There was a trivia game, from which I won 2 prizes. We played hot potato with a few well-wrapped shower jellies. And we were given small gifts to start with. Getting our trivia prizes was fun, as they had 3 bags of goodies on the counter. One was labeled 'purple stuff', one was 'sweet stuff' and the last was marked with a huge ?. The idea was to stick your hand in, without looking, and withdraw your prize. I ended up with some delightful gifts (a lotion sample, a black currant scented body butter and 3 bath bombs). I bought myself a couple items, too. As Angela was wringing things up, she said she hoped I like shower jellies. And then put in 2 that we'd been playing hot potato with. I do adore the staff at my Lush store. Besides, 2 of them are Harry Potter fans and there is talk of doing a HP themed event sometime this summer. I told them I knew someone who was a wonderful Professor Snape and they squeed with delight. Professor, are you up for an outing when they get this planned?
They're also planning another store event in early June. Perhaps around the time of your visit, Mary Ann! This also coincides with my birthday, which should be lots of fun. And a good excuse to spend money on myself. *add Lush gift certificates to birthday wishlist*
Got my haircut yesterday afternoon. Nothing major - a couple inches off the length and some layers cut back in. She did the whole blow dry thing, though, which really defeated the purpose of putting the layers in to get some curl back. Ah well, it'll be curly enough when I wash it next. Still haven't dyed it yet, perhaps tomorrow. No, I haven't picked a colour yet.
Sens are going down fast, having lost again last night. Must write to the Buffalo team and thank them for finishing off the game at the beginning of OT and allowing me to watch my television programs without the interruptions of switching channels back and forth to keep up with the game.
Survivor finale party at Mark's on Sunday. Will be there with bells on. Nyssa will join us. Even if she's working she'll be off early enough to be there for pizza before the show.
Am up way to bloody early. Must go back to bed very soon. Work evenings tonight.
