So, I'm clearing out some boxes and trying to get organized. In one of the boxes, I happened across a book my parents bought me while we were in Florida: Disney's America on Parade: A History of the U.S.A. in a Fun-Filled Pageant. Tucked inside the well-worn book (which boasts Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck on the cover) is a map of Civil War battlefields that they got me at some museum gift store years ago. I guess I was a budding little historian even as a little girl.
