Just caught up on Flash Forward
This show gets better and better!
Mark and Demetri are my clear favorite characters, but it's a good solid cast overall. I like that we've already gotten a lot of information and character development in a short space of time. Some thoughts:
Mark: One of the things I like about him is that he is flawed--actually, I like that about all the characters. None of them are remotely perfect. They argue, they screw up, they keep secrets, they're afraid. Mark appeals to me because he's teetering on the edge, knowing ful well he may end up falling off. But there's still a part of him that is steadfast in his convictions that their investigation can make a difference. And I like his relationship with his daughter--they nod to Shakespeare was fun.
Olivia: It's good to see Sonya Walger get a good, meaty role. I'm intrigued at what would make her apparently cheat on her husband. I can't see her justifying a relationship with someone other than her husband on the basis of thinking her husband might drink.
Demetri: Of course, I'm wondering where they're heading with this storyline. Will Demetri be killed off in time to make the sequel to Star Trek? Will the future change? Was the call that foretold his death a lie? Perhaps he's in a state of unconsciousness deep enough or sudden enough that he wasn't dreaming. I don't know.
Janis: Of course, given the way things ended for Janis last episode, maybe we'll find out that the future isn't quite as certain as we thought. Even if she lives (which I'm sure she will), that was a pretty bad injury. As for the new girlfriend, I'm not sure if I trust her. I have no solid reason why... maybe I'm just suspicious about the agents dating new people so soon after the flashforwards.
Lloyd: Of course, Lloyd gives us good reason to be suspicious. I rather like him, despite his ties to the disaster.
And how badass was that shootout in the last episode? :D
Well, that's about all I have for right now. I need to make some muffins before our ghost walk tonight. I've been wanting chocolate muffins for days, but I've been too tired to make them.
