Woot!
You know what really rocks? Unexpected free stuff.
I went into the kitchen to make my macaroni and cheese and my carrots, but I discovered that the dish I was planning to use is storing leftover spaghetti. This proved to be an insurmountable hurdle, because it's LOST Finale Day, and we shouldn't have to do dishes on a fandom holiday!
So I said to myself, "Self, you should run out before LOST comes on and get food." I was thinking Arby's, so I thought myself down the road and pulled into the parking lot. When I got out of my car, I noticed, rather quizzically, that there were balloons and streamers everywhere. Were they, perhaps, celebrating LOST Finale Day, too? Then, I noticed the sign: "Purchase a Large Drink, and Get a Free Roastburger." Free food--sweet music to my ears.
So I hurried myself in there and joined the sizable crowd that had already gathered (you say free food around here, you'd better build a new wing...people are going to show up). For two dollars, I got a ginormous Mt. Dew and a Bacon Cheddar Roastburger!!! It was totally unexpected, which makes it that much more outstanding. And the sandwich was delicious.
